Happenings

We are back from our working vacation in Dominican Republic. This was a quick and easy trip for us. Resorts were proactive with temperature checks, limiting occupancy, and sanitizing hands and surfaces at every turn.

During this holiday season we are being cautions with family and friends by keeping our distance and limiting time spent out and about. We thought it was our responsibility to quarantine as much as possible upon return.

We have been busy this past week posting videos and photos of the resort we stayed at on Facebook plus publishing a few blog posts to give you ideas on a the perfect all-inclusive resort that is right for you. Check them out here:

Have you heard the term "Wave Season?" In the Travel Agency world it is the busiest time of the year. Cruise lines typically push out their best promotions from January through March dubbing it Wave Season. But Wave Season has come a long way to now include all inclusives, guided tours, independent tours, and hotels.

Many of the suppliers have already started opening up their Wave Season promotions. Some of my favorite resorts are offering HUGE discounts. AM Resorts (Secrets, Dreams, Now, Zoetry) is offering up to 40% off plus extra amenities. Karisma resorts (El Dorado, Nickelodeon, Margaritaville) are offering up to 70% off.

Cruise lines are even starting to get into Wave Season. For example, Holland America is selling balconies at the price of an oceanview plus added amenities plus a free interior room for a friend (just pay taxes and fees). Limited time offer.

Trip Requests

Here are some of the 2021 trip requests I worked on this past month:

Honeymoon To Mexico - I have another couple headed to El Dorado Casitas in Riviera Maya. This client will be celebrating their honeymoon in a swim up suite! They are going to love the bungalow style rooms, beautiful resort, and delicious food. This client was referred to us from a family member who had just used our services. The best compliment is a referral!

Adults Only Getaway to the Dominican Republic - I have a client that loves Mexico but after our business trip to the Dominican Republic they were ready to try something new. They are heading to Secrets Cap Cana. They booked a a Preferred Club Bungalow Suite with a swim up pool. They will one of the best rooms in the house plus a butler to ensure their stay is perfect.

Family All-Inclusive Spring Break - I have had a number of spring break requests this month for both Mexico and the Dominican Republic. I have clients considering stays at Dreams Playa Mujeres, Hotel Xcaret, The Grand at Moon Palace, and Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana. Our clients have booked or have narrowed it down to their favorite resort and are weighing their options.

Adults only Getaway to Mexico - I have a ton of clients from Ohio and Michigan and some are starting to anticipating a cold winter. My clients wanted to get something on the books to look forward to. They are leaving their little ones in the cold and heading to Cancun for some much needed Mom and Dad time. They are going to love Secrets Maroma for the beach, food, and service.

My Groups

I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s). Which one do you want to join me on?

May 2021- Costa Rica & Panama Canal. We made a small change to our travel plans this year. We have replaced our tulip time European river cruise with a Panama Canal/Costa Rica cruise. Tropical Islands. Exotic Jungles. Experience it all in private yacht style. Because the sailing is during the start of the slow season, the cruise price per person is almost HALF off! Let me know if this is something you are interested in.

July 2021- Galápagos Islands. We begin in Quito, Ecuador then spend 5 days island hopping on land and by ship. The ship only holds 16 guests. I have 4 spots left!

December 2021- Antarctica. (NEW DATE) This is my last continent. We will be taking an expedition cruise from South America and through the Drake Passage to the Antarctica peninsula with Ponant Cruise Line. Trip of a lifetime. Can't find anyone to travel with you? This cruise has no single supplement, for a limited time.

August 2022 (Date pending)- Cruise and Land tour in Alaska. We will be sailing on Holland America and spending three days in Denali National Park.
