Happenings

Let's talk applying and renewing your passport. If you have a trip coming up in the next 6 months, now is the time to send in your application for your first passport or check your passport's expiration dates.

Processing times at the Passport Offices are the highest we have seen since the pandemic started. Passports used to take 4-6 weeks for processing, but are now taking approximately 18 weeks (unless you pay for expedited processing for 12 weeks). If you haven't applied for your passport yet, don't delay.

For those that have an existing passport, now is the time to take it out and ensure it is not damaged or expired. Your passport must be machine readable to board the plane. Ensure there is no water damage, torn pages, or tattered ends.

As a general rule, passports must be valid for six months beyond the date the traveler will re-enter the United States. The U.S. has signed agreements with a number of countries to waive this requirement. However, many airlines have their own rules and require 6 months of validity beyond the date of exit from the visiting country. Save yourself some disappointment and renew your passport at least 6 months before it expires.

Trip Requests

Here are some of the 2021 and 2022 trip requests I worked on this past month:

NYE Cruise - My clients had a fall break cruise planned for 2020 and that plan was foiled. They have rescheduled for NYE this year. They will be sailing with Royal Caribbean on the Independence of the Seas and enjoying their time with some of their family and friends.

Universal Studios - This family of five are big Harry Potter fans and after hearing about my adventures they were ready to book their own trip. They will be staying at Endless Summer- Surfside Inn and Suites in a 2 bedroom suite. This is quickly becoming my favorite Universal resort for the space and the price! They also scored a free breakfast at the Three Broomsticks AND the Leaky Cauldron. How fun!

Hawaii Trip - Sometimes you don't need a reason to go to Hawaii, you go because you have never been. My clients have never been to Hawaii and were ready for an adventure. They will be visiting the Big Island and Maui. Adventure and relaxation. They wanted to see volcanos, stars lighting up the sky, whales, pineapple farms, and experience black/green/white sand beaches.

Mexico Honeymoon - Mexico is one of my favorite destinations to book for clients. It is full of resorts to meet everyone's needs. There are family friendly resorts, adults only resorts, party resorts, adventure resorts, and romantic resorts. One of my favorite resorts is Valentin Imperial. The tropical vibe, party pool, lazy river and quiet pool, yummy food, beautiful beach, delicious martini bar, and overall romantic atmosphere makes it a perfect destination for couples (and even a fun singles trip).

My Groups

I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s). Which one do you want to join me on?

July 2021 (Rescheduling)- Galápagos Islands. We begin in Quito, Ecuador then spend 5 days island hopping on land and by ship. The ship only holds 16 guests.

February 2022- Antarctica. (NEW DATE) This is my last continent. We will be taking an expedition cruise from South America and through the Drake Passage to the Antarctica peninsula with Ponant Cruise Line. Trip of a lifetime. Can't find anyone to travel with you? This cruise has no single supplement, for a limited time.

August 2022 - Cruise and Land tour in Alaska. We will be sailing on Holland America and spending three days in Denali National Park.

If you are interested in joining me on one or all of these trips, please reply to this email.
