Happenings

A few weeks ago I spent some time at the happiest place on earth: Disney World. The point of this trip was to learn all about the parks post pandemic, see how the new magical enhancements (Genie+ and Lightning Lanes) were really working, and enjoy some new to me dining and ride experiences.

I have a number of blogs about my time spent in the parks and around the resorts. Tim even contributed a few of his own. Head the blog to read them:

I tested out Genie+ and individual Lightning Lanes and discovered some of the pluses and minuses of using the added service. I think Genie+ is a must for some parks, and not so important for others. Individual Lightning lanes also provide a great option for those that want to make the most out of their experience and not spend it waiting in line. Again, it is worth it for some rides and not others. I share these ins and outs with clients when they book.

Are you thinking about visiting Disney this year? Fill out the Disney Request Form and I will be happy to assist. Do not hesitate in starting the planning process as dates throughout the year are already starting to sell out. Anytime school is out, the resorts book up quickly.

Thinking about traveling next year? 2023 dates do not go on sale until this summer (usually mid June), Fill out the Disney Request Form and I will get you on my list to be notified as soon as the dates are available.

I look forward to helping you plan your magical family moments.

V&V Travel Info

Travel restrictions are starting to disappear! I couldn't be more excited about these changes. There are changes happening everywhere.

Cruise lines are starting to relax their mask mandates for vaccinated travelers.

Jamaica announced they will no longer require a travel authorization approval prior to travel. I am hoping other countries start to make similar changes.
The UK has gotten rid of all pre travel testing for vaccinated travelers prior to arrival. The UE is also working on making it easier for vaccinated travelers to enter.

With these changes mean an increase in travel. I am already seeing Caribbean resorts and my top booked room types sell out for this summer and into the fall. If you are thinking about traveling internationally (or even Disney, Hawaii and Alaska) this year, you do not want to delay booking.

I am still only booking vaccinated travelers overseas on guided tours and cruises for 2022. The situation is still very fluid and I want to ensure you are in the best possible situation when it comes to your desired destination.

Trip Requests

Here are some of the 2022 trip requests I worked on this past month:

Sandals La Toc Honeymoon - This is hands down my most booked Sandals resort. This resort in St. Lucia always stands out when it is in the mix of honeymoon options for clients. It is on a 220-acre estate set on a half-mile, crescent-shaped beach, cradling exotic coral bluffs, lush hillsides and rolling fairways and is the perfect location for all your honeymoon needs. My clients had to delay their honeymoon due to covid. They are going to love their Emerald Honeymoon Hideaway Grande Luxe room.

Hyatt Zilara Cancun Honeymoon - This must of been the month of delayed honeymoon requests. I had a number of clients reach out about booking their honeymoon from a 2022/2021 wedding. This client wanted an affordable honeymoon on the ocean with a great pool and wonderful food and drink. After presenting a few options, they choose an Ocean Front Junior Suite at Hyatt Zilara. This adults only resort in the Cancun hotel zone is one of my favorites.

10 Year Anniversary Celebration at Secrets Cap Cana - Secrets is my most booked repeat resort, meaning clients come back to Secrets time and again. My clients will be celebrating in a Preferred Club Bungalow Master Suite. This resort is full of activities and entertainment plus a HUGE beach. I hope they love it as much as I do.

Iceland Group Tour - Two months ago I booked a personal tour to see the Northern Lights in Iceland. I was sharing with others about my next adventure and quickly realized this was on a lot of my clients bucket list. So I decided to hold about 20 spaces on the same tour I was booked on. Within a month, the tour sold out. I thank those clients who booked into the group and then told their family and friends who then booked into the group too. We are going to have such a great time!

My Groups

I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s). Which one do you want to join me on?

April 2022 - Galápagos Islands. We begin in Quito, Ecuador then spend 5 days island hopping on land and by ship. The ship only holds 16 guests.

August 2022 - Cruise and Land tour in Alaska. We will be sailing on Holland America and spending three days in Denali National Park. I have rooms available if you want to join us.

October 2022 - Sold Out- Iceland and hunting for the Northern Lights. October gives us the best opportunity to see the northern lights. I have 8 rooms being held for 60 days. These are first come, first serve and will sell out.

December 2022 - Antarctica. This is my last continent. We will be taking an expedition cruise from South America and through the Drake Passage to the Antarctica peninsula with Ponant Cruise Line. Trip of a lifetime.

April 2023 - Coming Soon - Tulip Time River Cruise. I have requested group space on the AmaMora departing from Amsterdam.

If you are interested in joining me on one or all of these trips, please reply to this email.
