Happenings

A lot has happened in travel world the last few weeks. Here are some of the most talked about travel updates:

Celebrity Cruise Line was just approved to begin sailing on June 26, 2021. The rest of the major cruise lines should be approved in the coming weeks. Some with test cruises.

Alaska cruising is set to being in July. The 2021 season was cancelled earlier this year when Canada banned all cruise ships from stopping at their ports. Due to registry requirements, this caused the season to be cancelled. The US government stepped in and signed a bill allowing cruise ships to receive a waiver from stopping in a Canadian port. Just like that the Alaska 2021 season is back on!

Hawaii has announced that they are allowing those vaccinated in Hawaii to travel inter-island without quarantine or testing. The governor anticipates that all fully vaccinated US travelers will be able to travel to Hawaii without quarantine or testing this summer.

Disney World and Universal Studios has lifted the mask requirement outside (and inside at Universal Studios) for fully vaccinated guests. This couldn't have come at a better time as summer is starting to heat up.

Europe has announced that they will be reopening this summer. I am a bit more cautious about this announcement. There are still quite a few unknowns when it comes to what countries will be open, tourist attraction restrictions, restaurant availability, and general travel operations. Most of Europe has been on strict lockdowns and it will take some time for countries to open up fully to accommodate tourists. I am currently advising clients to wait just a bit longer before booking Europe this year as details are emerging every day.

Everyday there are restrictions being lifted around the world. I know there are still many changes that need to take place, but I feel that everyday we are getting  closer and closer to normal operations. Safe Travels.

Trip Requests

Here are some of the 2021 and 2022 trip requests I worked on this past month:

Disney Wish - The Disney Wish opened up their bookings this month and boy did I book a bunch of staterooms. I have some faithful Disney cruising clients (some that have sailed so many times they got to book DAYS before everyone else).

10 Year Anniversary in Mexico - A new client (and my hair stylist) has been talking about her big ten year anniversary coming up. They went to Mexico for their honeymoon and are heading back to celebrate this milestone. They will be staying at El Dorado Casitas Royale. This resort is a client favorite for the romantic tropical vibe. They are going to love escaping the Ohio winter for sun and celebrating.

Disney World Retirement Celebration - My clients just returned from Disney and they were ready to book their next trip. This one is a big deal. My clients mother will be retiring at the end of the year and they want to celebrate her career and new found freedom. They will be staying at the Disney Polynesian Village Resort. They will have monorail access to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. They are going to fall in love with this resort.

Sandals Honeymoon - A new client, who I didn't realize I had meet many years ago at a Warrior Dash, is getting married next year and needed help with their honeymoon. They wanted something special, relaxing, and luxurious. We discussed some of my favorite options and they settled on Sandals Royal Bahamian. This 5 star resort is all about romance and even has its own private island. Perfect for a honeymoon.

St Lucia Honeymoon - St. Lucia is quickly becoming my top booked destination. This couple contacted me after another honeymoon client recommended me. They had St. Lucia at the top of their list. They are headed to the Hideaway at the Royalton St. Lucia. They will love the upgraded service and adults only areas of this resort. They also won't be far from the famous Pitons for hiking!

My Groups

I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s). Which one do you want to join me on?

December 2021 (Rescheduling)- Galápagos Islands. We begin in Quito, Ecuador then spend 5 days island hopping on land and by ship. The ship only holds 16 guests.

February 2022- Antarctica. (NEW DATE) This is my last continent. We will be taking an expedition cruise from South America and through the Drake Passage to the Antarctica peninsula with Ponant Cruise Line. Trip of a lifetime. Can't find anyone to travel with you? This cruise has no single supplement, for a limited time.

August 2022 - Cruise and Land tour in Alaska. We will be sailing on Holland America and spending three days in Denali National Park.

If you are interested in joining me on one or all of these trips, please reply to this email.
