Happenings

We are back from our working vacation in Mexico. I have to say this was one of the easier and most health conscious trips I have ever had in Mexico. Resorts were proactive with temperature checks, limiting occupancy, and sanitizing hands and surfaces at every turn.

We also thought it was our responsibility to quarantine as much as possible upon return and get a covid test. We received our test results back yesterday and we both tested negative.  We are still being cautious with our interactions with others.

We have been busy this past week posting videos and photos of the resort we stayed at on Facebook plus publishing a few blog posts to give you ideas on a the perfect all-inclusive resort that is right for you. Check them out here:

V&V Travel Info

Let's talk travel insurance. We have always stressed the importance of travel insurance but over the last few months it has become even more evident.

To say you never know what is going to happen with travel is an understatement. One that most of us probably have experienced this year. Luckily there are a lot of options to consider when you book your trip. Most travel suppliers provide their own travel protection add on options. Some with a cancel for any reason clause.

If you are booking a more complicated international trip, we work with third party travel protection supplies that can cover the whole cost of the trip.

With every trip booked through Visas and Vistas Travel, we make sure we present you with options to protect you and the value of your trip.

Trip Requests

Here are some of the 2021 trip requests I worked on this past month:

Panama and Costa Rica Windstar Cruise - My clients had a yacht cruise planned to Panama and Costa Rica for 2020. As we all know, things have changed a little and their cruise was cancelled. They have rebooked for May 2021 on a fabulous deal. They will be sailing on the Windstar Breeze. Because they are sailing just as the slow season is kicking off, the cruise price per person is almost HALF off! I was so excited for the deal I decided to book a room for myself. Check out the groups section below for more details.

Mexico All-Inclusive Resorts - Celebrating special occasions like a 9th wedding anniversary, 40th Birthday, and a family getaway. Mexico has been a huge destination this past month and doesn't appear to be stopping. There are so many options for all-inclusive resorts that there is a perfect resort to meet your needs.  We have guests requesting romance at Secrets Maroma, families that need a water park at Dreams Playa Mujeres, and adults only relaxing at Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun.

Hawaii Adventure - Hawaii has also been a top destination request this past month. We are currently working with a client on deciding on which islands are best for their family. Each island in Hawaii has some similarities but each are quite different.  Maui is at the top of the list as it is the most family friendly island with beautiful beaches without the excess tourist that Waikiki has. They want to visit the Maui Ocean Center, Pineapple plant, Whale Watching, and a traditional Luau. Now to decide if they want to hop over to Oahu or the Big Island.

My Groups

I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s). Which one do you want to join me on?

January 2021- Antarctica. This is my last continent. We will be taking an expedition cruise from South America and through the Drake Passage to the Antarctica peninsula with Ponant Cruise Line. Trip of a lifetime.

May 2021- Costa Rica & Panama Canal. We made a small change to our travel plans this year. We have replaced our tulip time European river cruise with a Panama Canal/Costa Rica cruise. Tropical Islands. Exotic Jungles. Experience it all in private yacht style. Because the sailing is during the start of the slow season, the cruise price per person is almost HALF off! Let me know if this is something you are interested in.

July 2021- Galápagos Islands. We begin in Quito, Ecuador then spend 5 days island hopping on land and by ship.  The ship only holds 16 guests. I have 4 spots left!

August 2021- Cruise and Land tour in Alaska. We will be sailing on Holland America and spending three days in Denali National Park.  I have rooms available if you want to join us.

If you are interested in joining me on one or all of these trips, please reply to this email.
